Most common agricultural diseases have stayed out of the country. We would like to keep it that way and your help is appreciated. Don't bring in any fruit, vegetables, meat, honey or plant materials. Check your shoes and clothes for soil residues. If you get caught with any of these, hefty penalties up to NZ$100.000 or imprisonment will be enforced.

United Campervans has taken steps to help mitigate the emissions from their fleet. Each year, United Campervans sponsors the planting of 30,000 native trees on Motuora Island.
Already on this island in the Hauraki Gulf, over 175,000 trees have been planted and the newly-reforested island is being used as a kiwi nursery
